CAA and their client, Carmelo Anthony, came to me with the goal of starting a fund to build and amplify fashion businesses. I led the creation of the fund’s strategy, brand identity, and operational framework, and assembled the founding team. I also managed early-stage deal flow, investment research, and due diligence. Our goal for 7th Power was to invest in companies blending sportswear technology and design into broader apparel categories to bring more function, comfort, and style into everyday professional and recreational apparel. While the fund ultimately did not raise the necessary capital, the experience gave me hands-on insight into fund formation, strategic positioning, and investment operations within a venture context.
